Statement:

Blank is our relationship with the world. The moment you open your eyes at birth, you start to have a connection with the whole world. 

The artwork wants to express a kind of relationship between people and the outside world. We live in the same world, but we don’t see the world in exactly the same way. It’s like we live on different screens that are superimposed on top of each other. 

We exist sometimes as an individual and sometimes as one of a group. We identify ourselves through others, but sometimes we get lost in overlapping illusions. Growth is a theme throughout life. We get to know each other, we meet, we know, we love and we depart from each other. A life comes into the world alone and leaves alone. And all will be repeated, all be re-embodied. The work wants to emphasise the strength of the individual, it wants to express that the individual should not be held hostage by any collective, we seek to exist without any dependency on any relationship. We are not one of us.
